ZitatAlles anzeigen1.) Can you tell us anything about your work at this game? What was your task? What have you done?
Certainly, I'm a character animator primarily, but I also enjoy the technical side of animating, the MEL scripting, and especially the rigging, both these things can be almost as creative as animating itself. I think it would be fair to say I was the most technically aware animator on the team.
So my time was divided between character animating and rigging, which for me was a nice way to break up the working week, keeping it varied, challenging, fun and interesting.
2.) What was the most positive point of this game in your opinion?
I assume you mean as far as the game itself is concerned, I imagine each team member might point to a different aspect of the game, but for me, it was the ability to start in a Star Destroyer, hop into one of the many craft and fly down to the planet below seamlessly.
3.) And what was the most negative point of the SWBF3 of Free Radical?
There was never enough time in the day, 24 hours was just not enough
4.) Maybe you can tell us anything about the SWBF3 of Free Radical, that is quite interesting in your opinion. Any information would be nice.
I'm not sure I can tell you anything you might not already know, or anything that wouldn't get me into trouble:)
5.) Was it possible to personalize the own character like in SWBF Renegade Squadron? Maybe change clothes or something like this?
There was quite an involved story line, and the characters all very well developed, modifying the player character would have detracted from this and therefore not a good idea.
6.) Was it possible to destroy the big main-ships? In SWBF2 you can destroy some systems, but you can't destroy the whole ship.
I did in fact animate a number of Capitol ships exploding. They looked spectacular in the engine.
7.) We found some pictures of the Xbox360 version (Xbox360 Concept Screenshots). Are these pictures real? Can you maybe tell us anything about the "Galactic Conquest" modus that can be seen on one of these pictures?
The pictures looked familiar, but to be honest I didn't get to see all artwork that was produced and I could not confirm or deny that the images are genuine.
8.) We have seen some pictures of SWBF4 (Battlefront 4). Did Free Radical worked on SWBF4 as well? Are these screenshots real or just a fake? Can you tell us anything about the plans for SWBF4?
I don't recognise those images and I can not confirm or deny that FRD had anything to do with SWBF4. As a developer, we are always looking to land the next contract, so we and no doubt any developer would be foolish to to be creating proposals for game concepts.
9.) We have seen some pictures of a "Dark Obi Wan" (Der aktuelle Stand um Battlefront 3). Are these pictures linked to SWBF3? How a dark Obi Wan was added into the story? Can you tell us a little bit about it?
I'm not aware of any Dark Obi Wan, I certainly didn't animate such a character, during the concept stage of any game development many ideas are passed around and discussed, but it doesn't mean it will make it in the final game. This may have been something that I just didn't see because it was not used.
10.) Did Free Radical send anything to Lucas Arts at the end of the contract between Lucas Arts and Free Radical (code, assets, other stuff)?
As far as I understand it all the assets created by FRD were and are the property of Lucas Arts.
